Arshdeep Bains had a huge game for the Red Deer Rebels Friday night.

The winger picked up two goals and two assists, lifting his team to a 5-3 victory over the Saskatoon Blades in Western Hockey League action at the Peavey Mart Centrium.

Bains opened the scoring for Red Deer 8:44 into the first period. Brandon Lisowsky answered back for the Bladers a few minutes later.

Rebels forwards Kalan Lind and Ben King scored for Red Deer at 6:40 and 7:57, respectively - Bains assisted on both goals.

Egor Sidorov and Lisowsky answered back for Saskatoon before the end of the period.

Bains then scored the game winner 9:12 into the final period. He now has 25 goals on the season.

Jace Isley added an insurance tally for Red Deer.

Rebels goaltender Connor Ungar stopped 14 of 17 shots, while Blades goaltender saved 24 of 28.

The three stars were Bains (1), Lisowsky (2) and Talon Birgley (3).

Red Deer will host the Winnipeg Ice Saturday at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
