Blackfalds Bulldogs goaltender Matthew Hennessey’s stellar week earned him the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s defensive player of the week.

From Dec. 5-11 the 20-year-old netminder posted 1.46 goals against average and helped the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record.

Blackfalds have won four games in a row and are undefeated so far in December with a game against the Brooks Bandits Tuesday night at home.
