After third-period letdown proved costly for the Red Deer Rebels.
In their third game in the past four nights, it was a similar story for the Rebels in Kamloops against the Blazers.
Tied 3-3 after 40 minutes, Zane Franklin notched his 27th goal of the year 5:52 into the third and Logan Staknoven added an insurance marker with 4:26 to play in the contest.
Red Deer has given up nine goals in the third period over the current three-game B.C. road trip.
Kamloops outshot the Rebels 15-5 in the final frame Friday and 30-22 overall in the win.
The visitors were in good shape after 20 minutes, with a power-play goal from Cam Hausinger late in the period to tie the game, before Arshdeep Bains found the mark 18 seconds later to open up a 2-1 lead.
Orrin Centazzo buried his second of the night and 38th of the year 1:13 after Brodi Stuart tied the game at two early in the third period.
Josh Tarzwell helped the Rebels back even with his 28th tally of the campaign just past the midway point of the second.
Blazers goalie Rayce Ramsay turned aside 19 shots in the win for the Blazers and Ethan Anders stopped 25 shots in the loss.
The Rebels road swing continues Saturday in Kelowna, before heading north to Prince George for an afternoon date on Family Day. Red Deer is back at home on Feb. 22 against the Tri-City Americans.
