The Red Deer Rebels fired everything they had at Adam Evanoff but were simply stymied by the Moose Jaw Warriors netminder.

Evanoff, in his first start after returning from injury, stopped 36 of 38 shots and veteran Brayden Tracey notched four goals as the Warriors cruised to a 5-2 win over Red Deer.

Friday at Mosiac Place in Moose Jaw was the first game of a six-game road trip through Saskatchewan and Manitoba for the Rebels and resulted in their seventh straight loss.

Moose Jaw opened up a 4-0 lead and didn’t look back. Tracey scored twice on the power play and Ryder Korczak collected four assists.

Chris Douglas potted his fourth of the season early in the third and Jaxsen Wiebe added his second of the year three minutes and 41 seconds later.

Rebels goalie Ethan Anders allowed three goals on 10 shots and Byron Fancy came in in relief. Fancy stopped five of six shots he faced.

Red Deer heads to Regina to take on the Pats Saturday.
