RDC alumni Melody Davidson, who’s coached the national women’s hockey team to Olympic victories twice as well as several world championships, tells Red Deer College athletes, alumni and supporters the importance of collegiate programs to feed their national counterparts Wednesday. Her keynote address anchored the eighth annual Kings and Queens Scholarship Breakfast at the Capri Centre. The 1984 physical education graduate and nine-year Town of Castor recreation director also emphasized how academic excellence and one’s dreams must accompany even the best plans for sport success.
