Canada’s Dylan Cozens, Bowen Byram will take turns wearing ‘C’ at world junior

EDMONTON — Forward Dylan Cozens and defenceman Bowen Bryam will alternate wearing the captain’s ‘C’ for Canada at the world junior hockey championship.

Canada captain Kirby Dach suffered a wrist injury in a pre-tournament game against Russia on Wednesday and will miss the event.

Hockey Canada says Dach remains captain of the team.

Under International Ice Hockey Federation rules, one player must wear the ‘C’ during games.

Forward Connor McMichael will serve as a full-time alternate captain.

Canada opens tournament play Saturday against Germany at Rogers Place.
