CALGARY — Goaltender Wade Dubielewicz was added Monday to the Canadian team that will compete in this year’s Spengler Cup tournament in Davos, Switzerland.

Dubielewicz, who plays for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, replaces Brent Krahn of the AHL’s Texas Stars.

Krahn, defenceman Brendan Bell of the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch and forward Stacy Roest of Swiss club Rapperswil are all unable to play.

Defenceman Mike Siklenka (Austrian club Salzburg) and forwards Michel Ouellet, Cory Pecker and Jean-Guy Trudel — who are all playing for clubs in Switzerland — have also been added to the Canadian roster.

Jean-Pierre Vigier, who plays for Swiss club Bern, has been named an assistant captain for the Canadian squad. He joins captain Serge Aubin and assistant Shawn Heins, who both play for Swiss side Fribourg.

The tournament begins Saturday.
