Central Alberta golf courses offer $5 golf for youth

Alberta Golf is once again rolling out a program to encourage young golfers to tee it up this summer.

Alberta Golf is once again rolling out a program to encourage young golfers to tee it up this summer.

For the second season, the organization is offering the Youth on Course initiative for kids between the ages six and 18. Youth in Alberta can golf at 22 courses in the province for $5 or less.

Alberta was the first province in Canada to offer the program and last year, more than 1,000 youth accessed the Youth on Course program in the province.

Olds Golf Club and Camrose Golf Course will be offering the program in Central Alberta.

Other courses across Alberta are offering the program include Banff Springs Golf Club (Tunnel 9), Barrhead Golf Club, Bonnyville Golf and Country Club, Collicutt Siding Golf Club, Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course, Eagle Rock Golf Course, Goose Hummock Golf Resort, Heatherglen Golf Course, Henderson Lake Golf Club, Lakeside Golf Club, McCall Lake Golf Course (18 & par 3), Mill Woods Golf Course, Nanton Golf Club, Northern Bear Golf Course, Olds Golf Club, RedTail Landing Golf Club, Serenity Golf Club, Shaganappi Golf Course (18 & 9), Westlock Golf Course, Whitetail Crossing Golf Club and Woodside Golf Course.
