Central Alberta golfers tied at Alberta Open

Pro Riley Fleming of Calgary Lynx Ridge grabbed the opening day lead in the 54-hole Alberta Open, firing a six-under par 65 at Wolf Creek Golf Resort Tuesday.

Andrew Harrison of Camrose had a three-under 68 while his brother Michael Harrison had a one-under 70.

Carter Graf of Sylvan Lake and the Red Deer Golf and Country Club shot a one-over 72 while Innisfail’s Jace Ouellette came in with a 73 and Alex Gerrard of the RDGCC and Brad Kay of Lacombe are tied at 78.

Tim Boston of Ponoka fired a 79 with Bobby McKinlay of Bentley at 80 and Ron Harder of Innisfail 82.
