It was a strong weekend of softball for local teams at Softball Alberta Provincials.
In the Under-14-D Final in Medicine Hat, it was an all Central Alberta final. The Sylvan Lake Storm were triumphant, earning a 16-9 win over Sundre to capture gold.
In Irma, the Central Alberta Impact took top spot with a 12-0 win over the Red Deer Rage who earned silver in the Under-19-B age group. The Elnora Eagles finished with bronze after a 10-1 win over the Stettler Storm.

The Red Deer Rage also settled for silver at the Under-10-A level, after an extremely well-played tournament. They lost 14-8 to the Lloydminster Liners in the gold medal game but outscored opponents 88-18 through their first five games.
At the Under-10-B tournament, the Sylvan Lake Storm captured bronze.
