An emergency training exercise is scheduled for downtown Red Deer on Tuesday that will divert traffic temporarily.
Red Deer Emergency Services and Electric Light and Power personnel will perform a mock rescue from an underground electrical vault in the downtown.
The exercise is planned for 48th Street, just west of 51st Avenue, on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
It is expected to last for approximately 30 minutes.
The exercise provides learning and training opportunities in the ongoing professional development of city staff.
