Early Saturday morning, Coronation RCMP were called to a single vehicle rollover on Range Road 142, about four km south of Castor.

Responding to the scene with fire and EMS dispatched from both Coronation and Castor, crews found the rolled pickup with two men ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and later transferred to Calgary Foothills Hospital. He died of his injuries.

The driver was treated at Coronation Hospital, then transferred to Red Deer Regional for further treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision and are withholding the identities of the driver and passenger until the conclusion of the investigation.
