Four members of the RDC Queens named All-Stars

Four members of the RDC Queens were selected to the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women’s hockey All-Conference teams.

Forwards Ashley Graf and Jade Petrie were named to the first team with goaltender Tracie Kikuchi and forward Emily Swier on the second team.

Player of the year, Sandy Heim of the MacEwan University Griffins, was the first team goaltender with Carlin Boey of NAIT and Nikki Reimer of MacEwan on defence and Kendra Hanson of NAIT also up front.

The second team defence was made up of Madison Colbow and Cora Sutton of SAIT while Chelsea Broadhead of Olds and Shyla Jans of MacEwan were also among the forwards.

Lindsay McAlpine of MacEwan was named the coach of the year while Brittany Savard of NAIT was the rookie of the year.

Heim, a native of Switzerland, led the ACAC in goals-against-average (1.45), save percentage (.943) and wins (10).
