Four Red Deer Rebels named Central Division All-Stars

Three named to the division’s first team

A total of four Red Deer Rebels were named to the Western Hockey League Central Division All-Stars for the regular season.

On the Central Divison First All-Star Team, the Rebels dominated with three players among the six listed. Goaltender Rhett Stoesser, defenceman Christoffer Sedoff, and forward Kai Uchacz were named to the team.

Uchacz recently became the sixth Red Deer Rebel to reach 50 goals all-time. This season he led the Central Division with his fury of goals and contributed 51 points and 30 powerplay assists.

Before Stoesser went down with a season-ending injury he was having a fantastic season. The first-year netminder’s play led him to post a division-best 2.35 goals against average and a .910 save percentage, which was second-best in the division.

Sedoff had a career season leading all defenceman in the division with 46 assists, 30 of which came on the powerplay, and 51 points.

Captain Jayden Grubbe was named to the Central Division Second All-Star Team after he led the division with 49 assists.

He also led the league with five shorthanded assists and was second-best in the division with 27 powerplay assists. Grubbe also had plenty of success in the faceoff circle posting 798 faceoff wins.
