Grizzlys come up empty

SPRUCE GROVE — Brett Zarowny turned aside 16 shots for the shutout in the Spruce Grove Saints’ 2-0 win over the Olds Grizzlys in an Alberta Junior Hockey League game Saturday.

Taylor Lotoski tallied a second-period goal for the Saints, who also got a late third-period marker from Tyler Busch. Spruce Grove was zero-for-nine on the power play, while Olds was zero-for-four.

Olds netminder Jesse Gordichuk made 38 saves.

The Grizzlys return to action Friday against the visiting Sherwood Park Crusaders.
