High school volleyball league semi-finals conclude

Finals will be play on Thursday and Friday

On Tuesday night the battle for the volleyball league title began in the central zone league semi-finals in Red Deer.

Four girls’ teams competed at Notre Dame High School and four boys’ teams played each other at Hunting Hills High School.

The results are as follows:

Girls:

Notre Dame Cougars beat Hunting Hills Lightning 3-1

Lindsay Thurber Raiders beat Lacombe 3-0

The Cougars will now take on the Raiders on Thursday and Friday and if a third game is needed they’ll play on Saturday. Locations and times are to be determined.

Boys:

Hunting Hills Lightning beat Lacombe Rams

Notre Dame Cougars beat Lindsay Thurber Raiders

The Lightning will now play the Cougars on Thursday and Friday and if a third game is needed they’ll play on Saturday.
