H.J. Cody Lakers dominate second half to beat Raiders

On Friday night at Setters Place in Red Deer, the H.J. Cody Lakers defeated the Lindsay Thurber Raiders 33-17 in Central Alberta High School Football League action.

Despite it being tied at 17 at halftime, the Lakers scored 16 unanswered points to secure the victory.

Lakers quarterback Jace Martins threw for 208 yards with 15 completions on 24 attempts and receiver Ozzy Koller had 68 yards receiving and six catches He also had 114 yards. Lakers receiver Jayden McLean also had two touchdowns.

For the Raiders, quarterback Andrew Hyett threw for 60 yards on eight completions on 18 attempts and Kayden Seifried had 78 yards rushing on 20 rushing attempts.

In addiiton, on Thursday night the Camrose Trojans took down the Lacombe Rams 39-16
