Those tuning into the senior girls and boys 4A central zone championships won’t have to wait until Saturday to find out who the next champions are.
The Hunting Hills senior boys volleyball team defeated the Notre Dame Cougars in straight sets 3-0 on Friday night to win the best of three series to decide the 4A central zone championship. The Lightning took all three sets in the matchup 26-24, 27-25, and 25-14.
Meanwhile, the Lindsay Thurber senior girls’ volleyball team beat the Notre Dame Cougars 3-0 Friday night and won the best of three series in two games. At Lindsay Thurber High School the Raiders took the sets 25-10, 25-18, and 25-23 to be crowned champions.
