Hunting Hills Lightning blow out LT Raiders in season opener

High school football returns

High school football is officially back in central Alberta.

On Friday night at Setters Place in Red Deer, the Hunting Hills Lightning blew out the Lindsay Thurber Raiders 43-2.

The Lightning improved to 1-0 on the season meanwhile the Raiders fell 0-1.

This week the HJ Cody Lakers also took on the Stettler Wildcats and the Notre Dame Cougars made the trip to Lacombe to open the season against the Rams.
