A few central Alberta golfers made their mark during the Maple Leaf Junior Tour Ford Series at the Stony Plain Golf Course last weekend.

The tournament included 80 golfers of all ages from across the province all gathering in Stony Plain.

Fourteen-year-old Brae Rogalczyk from Innisfail took home the win in the bantam boys division shooting 71-73.

“I feel great about winning this title, it’s also nice to get the points,” said Rogalczyk in a media release. “Some highlights was my eagle that I had on 15 the first day, and my eagle on 10 the last day. I try to stay positive when I’m under pressure, and not worry about the last shot, but the next one coming up.”

Taking third in the same division was Sylvan Lake’s Brady Durkin after he shot 72-78 and in the peewee boys division, Jacob Natomagan also from Sylvan Lake finished in third shooting 98-99.

Next up on the tour is a stop in Olds on June 27-28 for the 2022 MJT Ford Series at Olds Central Highlands Golf Club.
