• In other A plus play the Red Deer Prairie Bus Lines Chiefs downed the Blackfalds Bulldogs 7-5 as James Quick and Tyson Crampain scored two goals each with singles added by Jacob Bottomley, Preston Hutton and Brandon Bodemer. Nicholas Galenzoski faced 28 shots for the win while Red Deer had 34 against Blackfalds.

Minor AAA Midget

The Red Deer IROC Chiefs downed the Saskatoon Sabrecats 6-5 in a shootout to win the North Battleford tournament Sunday.

Kale Lapointe, Quinn Brown, Scott Feser, Jody Sick and Zak Hicks scored once each for the Chiefs in regulation. Feser and Jacob Schofield scored in the shoot out. Logan Muir got the win in goal.

Earlier the Chiefs lost 4-3 to Warman and beat Meadow Lake 12-5, North Battleford 6-1 and the Saskatoon Steel 5-2.

Jody Sick had two goals and Schofield one against Warman with Matt Zentner taking the loss. Schofield scored three times against Meadow Lake with Sick and Feser potting two goals each and Ian McLellan, Spencer Yeats, Ty Chalaturnyk, Draven Jerry and Quinn Brown once apiece. Muir picked up the win.

Schofield added four goals against North BAttleford with Lapointe and Kirk Johnson adding single markers. Zentner was in goal.

Feser, Dustin Gorgi, Schofield, Yeats and Lapointe comnecetd against the Steel with Muir in goal.

Midget Girls

In A action, Red Deer Sutter Fund downed Olds 4-1 as Marianne Currie scored twice and Brittany Scutchings and Whitney Sveinson also connected. Jolene Freerksen replied for Olds.

Bantam

The Red Deer Rebels Black downed Camrose 5-3 in AAA league play Saturday.

Chris Gerrie scored twice for the Rebels with single goals coming from Trey deGraaf, Ryan Swier and Tyler Steenbergen. Brody Dirk finished with 22 saves in goal.

Meanwhile, the Red Deer Rebels White battled the Calgary Northstars to a 4-4 tie Sunday, Colton Bobyk, Carter Sawicki, James Gaume and Ross Heidt connected once each for the Rebels. Rylan Bardick made 20 saves.

Major Bantam Girls

The Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs dropped an 11-3 decision to the Calgary Outlaws Saturday.

Cassidy Belsher, Amelia Nowek and Jade Lee scored for the Chiefs, who were outshot 60-22.

Peewee

The Parkland Transmission Chiefs had a win and a loss in AA play during the weekend. They defeated the Foothills Bisons 8-1 and dropped a 6-5 decision to the Airdrie Lightning.

Jeff de Wit exploded for four goals against the Bisons with single markers from Tanner Zentner, Abagael Thiessen, Luke Coleman and Brenan Frame. Westin Cardwell made 25 saves in goal.

Luke Coleman potted a pair and Louis Leclerc, Frame and Tanner Zentner against Airdrie. Cardwell finished with 27 saves.
