The Philadelphia Eagles will be without receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson for their game against visiting Detroit.

Jeffery and Jackson are both inactive Sunday. Jeffery, who had been listed as questionable, has a calf injury. Jackson won’t play because of a groin injury.

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was active against the Lions after he was listed as questionable for the game with a calf injury.

Philadelphia quarterback Nate Sudfeld is active for the first time this season after a preseason wrist injury. Josh McCown will back up Carson Wentz.

In Foxborough, Massachusetts, New England Patriots running back James White will miss the matchup with the New York Jets to be his wife, who is expecting the birth of their child. Fullback James Develin didn’t practice all week and is out with a neck injury. Special teams stalwart Nate Ebner is also sidelined with a groin issue, and right tackle Marcus Cannon is active after sitting out last week with a shoulder injury.

For the Jets, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who was picked up in a trade with the Patriots earlier this month, will not face his former team. He is sidelined with a hamstring and knee issue. He joins quarterback Sam Darnold, who remains out with mononucleosis, and linebackers Jordan Jenkins (calf) and C.J. Mosley (groin) on the inactive list.

In Indianapolis, the Colts will be without two key defensive players — defensive end Jabaal Sheard and All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard. Sheard misses his third straight game with a knee injury. Leonard went into the concussion protocol after last Sunday’s game and was not cleared in time to play this week against Atlanta.

Indy will have its top cornerback, Pierre Desir, who was diagnosed with a bruised right knee last week. Atlanta will use punter Matt Wile, who was signed this week in case Matt Bosher couldn’t play because of an injured groin. Bosher, who also handles kickoffs, is inactive. Kicker Matt Bryant kicked off last week after Bosher was injured.

In Orchard Park, New York, injuries have thinned the Cincinnati Bengals’ depth at left tackle, though third stringer Andre Smith will start despite being listed as being questionable last week because of a groin injury. Otherwise, starter Cordy Glenn will miss his third straight game because of a concussion. Starting left guard Michael Jordan is out after hurting his left knee last week.

The Bills had already ruled out rookie running back Devin Singletary, who hurt his left hamstring in a win over the New York Giants, and tight end Tyler Kroft, who hurt his left ankle in practice Thursday. A former Bengals player, Kroft was an off-season free agent addition who was on track to make his debut for the Bills after breaking his right foot in May.

In Arlington, Texas, Taco Charlton is active for the Miami Dolphins and will face his former team four days after the Dallas Cowboys waived their 2017 first-round draft pick.

The Dolphins claimed the underachieving defensive end on waivers a day after the Cowboys dropped him.

Linebacker Trent Harris will make his debut for the Dolphins, returning from a knee injury. Quarterback Josh Rosen will make his first start for Miami.

The Cowboys had already declared six players out: leading receiver Michael Gallup, wide receiver Tavon Austin (concussion), defensive end Tyrone Crawford (hip), safety Xavier Woods (ankle), defensive tackle Antwaun Woods (knee) and linebacker Luke Gifford (ankle).

In Minneapolis, Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes is active for the first time this season — his first appearance since tearing his left ACL in Week 6 last year — but four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Anthony Barr is out with a groin injury for Minnesota’s game against Oakland.

For the Raiders, left guard Richie Incognito makes his debut after serving a two-game suspension, but right guard Gabe Jackson misses his third straight game because of a knee injury, and wide receiver Ryan Grant is also inactive, a healthy scratch for the first time this season.

In Kansas City, Missouri, Baltimore’s Mark Andrews is active after dealing with a foot injury. He’s the first tight end in franchise history with back-to-back 100-yard receiving games. The Ravens wanted to see how Andrews moved during pregame warmups before making a decision.

In Green Bay, Wisconsin, Packers tight end Jimmy Graham is active after missing practice time this week because of a groin injury.
