Lacombe Generals advance to Vanberg Cup Finals

Generals sweep opponents in semi-finals

The Lacombe Generals of the Senior AA North Central Hockey League have advanced to the Vanberg Cup Finals.

The President Trophy winners swept the Devon Barons in four games in the semi-finals including a 5-4 overtime victory in game four to win the series.

The Generals will play the winner between the Red Deer Rustlers and Camrose Crush, which is currently tied at two games apiece heading into game five Tuesday evening.

The Crush won the regular season series 2-0 but the Rustlers are holding their own so far winning games one and two in the semi-finals.
