The Lacombe Generals are one win away from capturing another Allan Cup Hockey West title.

Lacombe dumped the Stony Plain Eagles 7-1 in the league semifinal on Friday with a five goal explosion in the third period.

The Generals held a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes with goals from Jesse Todd and Teegan Moore.

In the final frame, Todd, Billy Marshall, Alex Macleod, Ian Barteaux and Devin Gannon all found the mark.

Steve Stanford stopped 25 shots in the Lacombe net for the win.

They’ll head to Rosetown Saturday night to take on the Red Wings in a one-game championship final.

The Senior AAA playoffs start on Feb. 18 against the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs.
