The Lacombe Rams senior boys basketball team has been crowned 4A zone champions.

On Friday night at Lacombe Composite High School they defeated the Lindsay Thurber Raiders 80-76 in game three of a best-of-three series to win the title.

Earlier this week the Rams were victorious in the first game 102-88 but the Raiders bounced back on their home court to win game two 73-56.

Lacombe will now head to the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) 4A provincial championships in Edmonton from March 16-18 to compete against the best in the province.
