Lacombe’s Tanner Green signs new CFL contract

Green will be with the Edmonton Football Team through the 2023 season

Tanner Green will wear the green and gold for the foreseeable future.

The Lacombe product inked an extension through 2023 with the CFL’s Edmonton Football Team. Green, a fullback was drafted by Edmonton 32nd overall in the 2018 CFL drafted and has recorded 19 special teams tackles in 20 games.

In an Instagram post, Green said: “New Year, better me. 2021(-2023) just got that much better!!! Blessed beyond belief, can’t wait to get after it.”

Green was one of five players Edmonton extended on New Year’s Eve.
