WINNIPEG — Play has resumed in the CFL’s season opener between the Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos in Winnipeg.

Officials had players leave the field for an hour because of lightning around Investors Group Field.

There was 8:41 left in the second quarter with Edmonton up 17-7 when play was suspended.

Halftime was cancelled to make up for the lost time.
