Lindsay Thurber Senior Basketball Invitational underway

Basketball action got going Friday afternoon at Lindsay Thurber for the annual Lindsay Thurber Senior Basketball Invitational.

Basketball action got going Friday afternoon at Lindsay Thurber for the annual Lindsay Thurber Senior Basketball Invitational.

In the opening game of the girls draw, the St. Joes Falcons knocked off the Hunting Hills Lightning. Taylor Blais had 28 points in a losing cause for Hunting Hills.

On the boys side to start the tournament, the host Raiders fell 67-61 to M.E. LaZerte.

The tournament continues throughout the day Saturday, with the girls final at 6 p.m. and the boys final to follow at 8:45 p.m.
