Marlins swim to five aggregate gold

Five Red Deer Marlins swimmers captured five aggregate gold medals in the Wetaskiwin Olympians sprint meet during the weekend.

Five Red Deer Marlins swimmers captured five aggregate gold medals in the Wetaskiwin Olympians sprint meet during the weekend.

Elliot Moskowy was first overall in the boys’ 18 and over class, while Taylor Laing (girls’ 11-12), Adam Hucal (boys’ eight and under), Lauren Bettenson (girls’ eight and under) and Owen Halford (boys’ six and under) earned similar honours.

Aggregate silver medalists included Jennifer Engler (girls’ 18 and over), Claire Halford and Sydney McMurray (tied for girls’ 9-10), and Kayden Schiller (boys’ eight and under), while Jillian Engler (girls’ 15-17), Adrian Christ (boys’ 15-17) and Jordan Isaac (boys’ eight and under) earned bronze aggregate medals.
