Mitch Desjarlais wins McLennan Ross Tour event in Wetaskiwin

Mitch Desjarlais continued his strong play on the Alberta Golf McLennan Ross Junior Tour.

Representing Broadmoor Golf Course in Sherwood Park, Desjarlais fired a dazzling one-under-par 71 to win the Montgomery Glen Junior Open by a single shot. He edged Rory Wutzke of Camrose. Mason Kucy of Camrose finished third with a 75 and Devin Kucy finished in a tie for fourth.

Ponoka’s Kaedin Wolfe was second in the boys born in 2004/05 category and earned wild card spot to the tour championship in August.

Ryder McLeod shot an 89 in the boys born in 2005 or later.

Jayla Kucy of Camrose won the junior girls age group with an 83.
