Mosquito AA Braves 2 win silver at provincials

The Red Deer Mosquito Braves picked up a hard-earned silver medal at the Baseball Alberta U11 Provincials.

In Fort McMurray on the weekend, the Braves entered as the fourth seed and worked their way into the final.

Red Deer fell 9-6 to the Camrose Cougars Royal in the gold medal game and settled for silver.

Team members included Nolan Lachapelle, Nate Andreas, Brooks Froese. Asher Rodzinyak, Davis Cadieux, Wyatt Shmitt, Riley Garnett, Brody Jackson, Dustin Snideman, Parker Thompson, Jace Setters and Carter Wolokoff. Head coach Tom Rodzinyak and assistant coaches were Joel Cadieux, Jared Froese and Steve Jackson.
