North Star rally in third

Midget

Jeremy Danderfer, Mitch Giele, Spencer Lee and Davis Reykdal scored for the Red Deer KFC Chiefs in a 9-4 A-division loss to the Edmonton Blues during the weekend.

In another game, Red Deer North Star fired seven third-period goals in a 10-4 rout of Drumheller at the Collicutt Centre. Captain Ryan Svederus paced the winners with four goals and one assist, while Jordan Brassard recorded a hat trick and assisted on two goals.

Bantam

Red Deer Industrial Metals suffered a pair of weekend setbacks, falling 13-1 to Kneehill and 7-2 to the Red Deer No. 4 team.

Peewee

Red Deer Quinn Pumps managed two ties and a win in weekend play, getting two goals from Jordy Quinn and a single from Declan Johnson in a 3-3 draw with the Edmonton Warriors, and four goals from Devin Sheridan, two from Kyle Gibson and one from each of Quinn, Dawson Reykdal, Landon Willoughby and Ben Pasiuk in a 101-10 sawoff with the Calgary Hornets.

In another contest, the Red Deer Green Apple Gladiators, with Carson Stuve netting two goals and assisting on another and Cole Sears also scoring twice, whipped the Red Deer Red Flame Warriors 9-1.

Kole Weik, Ben Pelletier, Kyle Ridout and Chris Huddleston also scored for the winners, Justin Anderson had the lone goal for the Warriors.

Tykes

Red Deer MGM knocked off Innisfail 10-7.
