PBR Elite Cup Series returning to Red Deer in new year

Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada is making a return to Red Deer in the new year.

On February 4, as part of their Elite Cup Series, they will hold the PBR Cross Country Canada Classic at the Peavey Mart Centrium at 7 p.m.

This will be the second year in a row Red Deer will hold the season-launching event and tickets are on sale as of Friday, Nov. 18.

The one-day competition will feature some of the best riders in Canada and on the international level. Some of these include Jake Gardner who won PBR’s debut of the Elite Cup Series event in Red Deer last June after a two-for-two performance. In the first round, Gardiner posted an impressive 83.5, and in the championship round rode to an 86.5-point score to take home the top prize.
