SHERWOOD PARK — The Lindsay Thurber Raiders senior girls split their opening games at the Bev Facey High School basketball tournament on Friday.
The girls opened with a 72-59 loss to St. Francis out of Calgary with Trish Peter leading the Raiders with 11 points while Telaina Snider had 10.
In their evening game the girls won 72-59 over Wetaskiwin as Snider put up 28 points and Keitlyn Williams had 12 points.
Lindsay Thurber advance to the ‘B’ side final today at 4 p.m. against an undetermined school.
The senior boys played Paul Kane of St. Albert in their only game on Friday and were beat 85-34. Kane Wik, DeMarcus Adamson and Huston Flaman each had six points for the Raiders.
The Boys play Salisbury High School out of Sherwood Park at 9 .am.
