Rampage knock off Calgary Chill

The Red Deer Rampage picked up a pair of wins to extend their streak to five in Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League play.

They knocked off the Calgary Chill 12-9 Saturday to earn the victory on home court.

Red Deer jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the opening frame, with a natural hat trick from Sheridan Cook and Ethan McMullen also adding a tally.

The Rampage added another four-spot in the second with James Wood, Jayden Reschny, Traford Couchman and Riley Woytas registering tallies.

McMullen, Reschny, Ben Arifin and Elijah Johanson added goals to close out the victory in the third.

Sunday, the Rampage knocked off the Mountain View Mavericks 12-9.

Red Deer had a narrow 3-2 lead after the first, with goals from Reschny, Johanson and McMullen.

They opened up an 8-5 through two periods. Wood and Johanson scored even-strength goals, while Tylan Hasna and Riley Woytas buried power-play markers.

Woytas added another in the third, along with Wood and Arifin. Logan Clarkson also added a third-period goal. Johanson and Woytas finished the afternoon with five points.

The next home game for the Rampage is June 29 at 8 p.m. at the Kinex.
