RDC Queens curling 2-3 after Day 3 at college curling nationals

The RDC Queens had another up and down day Friday at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Curling Championships.

The RDC Queens had another up and down day Friday at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Curling Championships.

After five games, the Queens sit tied for fifth with a 2-3 record.

To start the day Friday, they suffered a tough 10-4 loss to the Sault College Cougars. They bounced back in a big way in Draw 7, taking down the Fanshawe Falcons 11-5. With the game tied at four in the sixth end, the Queens scored a three-ender in back to back ends to blow it open.

They’ll play twice Saturday before playoffs begin with a pair of ACAC rivals. First they’ll matchup against the rival University Alberta Augustana Vikings in Draw 12, before rounding out the day against the NAIT Ooks.
