The RDC Queens battled hard to earn its first win of 2019 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women’s hockey play.

The RDC Queens battled hard to earn its first win of 2019 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women’s hockey play.

RDC scored a pair of second-period goals en route to a 2-1 victory over the SAIT Trojans in Calgary on Saturday.

First-year Mary Hirsch and third-year Red Deer native Miraiah McKersie buried the second-period tallies to power the Queens to the win.

First-year goalie Miranda Cook stopped 31 shots to earn her first ACAC victory.
