The RDP Kings captured a bronze medal at the 2025 ACAC Men's Futsal Championship in Lloydminster.

The Kings knocked off the host Lakeland College Rustlers 4-3 to earn bronze at the event.

Kings' players Jaxon Fernandes and goalie Brian Murray were named ACAC First-Team All-Conference all-stars. Kings Ajdin Sarcevic was a Second-Team All-Conference all-star.

Queens fustal player McKenna Leslie was also named the ACAC South Rookie of the Year on the weekend.

“I want to congratulate McKenna on receiving this prestigious acknowledgement. In her first ACAC season, McKenna has been a key contributor to the RDP Queens Futsal team, playing with skill, poise and confidence,” says Randy Stewart, Manager, Athletics and Student Life, RDP.

“With her dedication and hard work, McKenna’s impact with the Queens will continue to grow.”

Red Deer’s Leslie and the young Queens Futsal team earned two wins and a pair of ties during the ACAC season. Leslie will likely be an integral component of continuing to grow the Queens Futsal program during the next few years.

Leslie also had a tremendous soccer season for the RDP Queens, recording six goals and nine assists in 12 games. The first-year Bachelor of Education student was named to the 2024/2025 ACAC Women’s Soccer South All-Conference team.
