RDP Kings hockey wins season opener 6-3

They play the Vikings again on Saturday

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings won their season opener against the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings 6-3 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference action at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

The two teams will rematch Saturday, Oct. 15 at the University of Alberta-Augustana at 6 p.m.

The Queens also won their season opener against the Lakeland College Rustlers 3-1 on the road. They will play their home opener against the SAIT Trojans on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
