RDP Queens basketball fall to Huskies

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens basketball team dropped a close 67-57 contest Friday night to the Keyano College Huskies.

The Queens trailed at halftime but struggled to score in the third period only managing to score seven points which increased the deficit.

Red Deer finished off the game with a strong 19-point fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to come back.

Queens Amy Szymanek had a strong game with 15 points and eight rebounds on seven-for-17 shooting performance.

King’s basketball also lost to the Huskies at home 105-80 Friday night. Eduardo Crespo and José Mauro Barrozo Júnior led the way for the Red Deer with 22 points each.
