Queens 1 Broncos 0 (Queens win best-of-three series 3-0)

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens are provincial champions once again.

The Queens won 1-0 over the Olds College Broncos Friday night at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre to earn the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women’s hockey championship.

It was the fourth provincial title for the Queens and it took most of the game Friday before they took the lead.

Rookie Queens forward Dylan Norrie of Olds, scored the only goal of the game at 5:48 of the third.

Rookie goalie Tanya Disotell-Dunsmore posted the shutout for the Queens– she made 14 saves, including a game-saver in the final minute of the contest.
