Rebels Black to host major bantam tournament

The Red Deer Rebels Black will face the Airdrie Xtreme on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Arena in the opening game of the Red Deer major bantam hockey tournament.

The second game will see the Spruce Grove Saints going against the Edmonton Canadians at 1:30 p.m. at the Kinex, and the Red Deer Rebels White will face the Calgary Bisons at 4 p.m. at the Arena.

Other teams competing in the three-day tournament are the Grande Prairie Storm and the Okotoks Oilers.

Friday’s other games are at 4 p.m. at the Arena and 6:45 p.m. at the Kinex and Arena. Saturday’s action runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the semifinals set for 8 and 9 a.m. Sunday at the Arena and Kinex, the consolation games scheduled for 10:45 and 11:45 a.m. at both sites, and the championship game to go at 2:30 p.m. at the Arena.
