Rebels’ Kudrna to play for Slovakia

Red Deer Rebels winger Andrej Kudrna will play for Slovakia in the 2010 world junior hockey championship Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Saskatoon and Regina.

Red Deer Rebels winger Andrej Kudrna will play for Slovakia in the 2010 world junior hockey championship Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Saskatoon and Regina. The 18-year-old, who has scored 12 goals and recorded 25 points in 21 games with the Rebels since being acquired from the Vancouver Giants on Oct. 6, will leave the Rebels on Dec. 15 to join Team Slovakia for their training in Prince Albert. Meanwhile, Rebels forward Willie Coetzee will suit up with Team WHL for a Super Series game against Team Russia tonight in Kelowna.
