The Red Deer Bantam AAA Rebels are the hottest team in the Alberta Bantam AAA Hockey League.

Red Deer has yet to lose this season, racking up another pair of victories and running their undefeated streak to 10 games to start the year. The only slight blemish was a 3-3 tie last month.

Saturday, Red Deer rolled past the Southeast Tigers with a 5-2 win.

Five different Rebels had tallies in the victory, including Coy Pighin, Quinn Sampson-Goodman, Spencer Claerhout, Josh Perreault and Harrison Lodewyk. Keith McInnis had three assists in the win, while Mavry Fluet made 19 saves in the win.

Sunday, the Rebels shutout the Lethbridge Golden Hawks 8-0 on the road. Brock Lott picked up the 25-save shutout, while Wil Christian notched a hat trick. Five other Rebels hit the scoresheet, with Perreault, Talon Brigley, Colby Joyce, Pighin and Caleb Hadland all scoring. Brigley and Lodewyk also had two assists in the victory.

Minor Midget AAA

The Red Deer North Star Chiefs also picked up a pair of wins in Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League play.

Saturday, Red Deer knocked off the Knights of Columbus Centennials 5-3. Darin Watkins, Joe Kelly, Jacob Shorey, Keaton MacKenzie-Clermont and Ty Gyori had goals in the win. Kaden Toussaint had 29 saves for Red Deer.

Sunday, the Chiefs rolled past the MLAC Leafs 6-2. Kelly and Porter Pennock each had two goals in the win, while Watkins and MacKenzie-Clermont also had tallies. Nolan Larson also had two assists and Meyer Gaume had 29 saves for the victory. In nine games this season, the Chiefs are 5-2-2 on the year.

Midget AAA Female

The Red Deer Midget AAA Chiefs fell in both weekend games in Alberta Female Hockey League play. They fell to 1-7-0 on the year.

Saturday, Red Deer lost 6-2 to the Calgary Fire. Lacey Bullee and Hailey Hoogkamp had goals in the loss. Sunday, they dropped a 4-1 game to the Rocky Mountain Raiders. Ardyn Hawryshko had the only goal, while Sidney Kobi and Katie Charko had assists.
