Katie Primrose and Jordan Smith won the honours after competing in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Curling Canada Championship in Leduc from March 24-28.

Primrose, Queens curling team lead, had the second highest shooting percentage (70 per cent) in her position at the national championship and led her team to a 3-4 record. The second-year management certificate student from Rumsey, Alta. will now wrap up her curling college career.

Smith, a third-year education elementary student from Wimborne, Alta., played lead for the Kings at nationals. While the Kings went 1-6 at the competition, Smith finished his last three games with 89, 91 and 91 per cent shooting percentages.

All RDC teams have completed their 2017-18 seasons.

The college’s Athletic Awards will be held April 10 at the RDC Arts Centre, with the 15th annual Kings and Queens Scholarship Breakfast taking place the next morning.
