Red Deer Rampage drop pair of weekend games

The Red Deer Rampage losing skid extended to five games this weekend.

After a 13-3 loss at home Friday, Red Deer fell 16-12 to the Rockview Silvertips on Sunday.

The two teams traded goals in the opening frame, with Sheridan Cook, Nate Hasna, and Connor Shantz all burying for Red Deer.

Rockyview scored four times to open the second and took an 8-4 advantage. After Cook notched his hat trick tally, the Silvertips scored five more to pull away.

Shantz added his second of the night in the third and Cook buried his fourth of the game late in the period. Elijah Johanson added a pair, Ben Arifin and Konnor Green also notched goals in the loss.

Next, the Rampage take on the Mountain View Mavericks on June 15. They will be back at home on June 16 at 5:30 against the Edmonton Junior B Warriors.
