The Red Deer Rebels will play the first of 34 home games in the 2021-22 WHL season on Oct. 2.
Red Deer will host the Edmonton Oil Kings that night and will only play Eastern Conference opponents during the season.
Only one home game in the first half of the year will be played at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4, with all the rest set for 7 p.m. at the Westerner Park Centrium.
Dec. 17 is the last home game before the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships, which will be split between Edmonton and Red Deer. The Rebels will return to the Centrium on Jan. 7.
The full eastern conference schedule will be released at a later date.
With NHL participation in the 2022 Olympics not yet decided, arena availability in Edmonton and Calgary may be impacted and some Rebels’ home dates could change.
