Red Deer Rebels unveil 2022-23 regular season schedule

The Red Deer Rebels have announced their full schedule for the upcoming Western Hockey League (WHL) 2022-23 regular season.

The 68-game season will begin with a trip to Edmonton to play the defending WHL Champion Oil Kings on Friday, Sept. 23, and again the following night on Saturday, Sept. 24 at home in the Peavey Mart Centrium.

All home games will begin at 7 p.m. except for a game against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Monday, February 20 at 2 p.m. in Red Deer.

The Rebels will also make their first road trip through the United States since the 2019 season visiting the Spokane Chiefs on Feb. 4, Everett Silvertips on Feb. 5, Portland Winterhawks on Feb. 7, Seattle Thunderbirds on Feb. 10, and Tri-City Americans on Feb. 11.

All games in the regular season will be broadcast live on 106.7 REWIND Radio and online on WHL Live.

They will hit the ice for the first time with four preseason games. On Friday, Sept. 9 they will play the Calgary Hitmen at the Tsuut’ina Seven Chiefs Sportsplex at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 10 against the Hitmen at the Peavey Mart Centrium.

The following week the Rebels will play the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday. Sept. 16 on the road and will have a rematch the next day Saturday, Sept. 17 in Red Deer. Both will be played at 7 p.m.
