The Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs have earned a berth into the second round

The Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs have earned a berth into the second round of the playoffs in the inaugural season for the Alberta Female Hockey League bantam elite division.

The Sutter Fund Chiefs won a two-game total goals series with the Lethbridge Cyclones after a 3-1 win in game one and a 2-1 loss in game two. Lola Hanasyk, Kylie Perry and Lizzie Fonda all scored in the win and Beth Thomas had the only goal in the loss.

The Chiefs will play the Calgary Fire White in the second round starting on March 11.
