A Red Deer swim team won three medals at the Alberta Winter Games.

The Red Deer Silhouettes Synchronized Swim Club won a two gold and one silver while representing Zone 4 at the games in Fort McMurray this past weekend.

Olivia Moreau and Piper Jackson won gold in the duet event. Moreau also won gold against 64 competitors in the individual figures event.

Eight swimmers from the Red Deer club - Moreau, Jackson, Jolie Chavarria, Kaetlyn Fuller, Hailey Oliver, Haley Poole, Andi Teichrob and Mia Wright - earned silver in the team event.

The team was coached by Paige Greenwood and Lauren Dial.
